Dr. Melissa L. Pluguez-Moldavskiy

Has a degree as a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018, followed by a Board Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in 2019 and an MBA in Healthcare Management.  During her nursing career, she has provided care to communities that lack access to large medical centers in Puerto Rico, advancing her knowledge of the Spanish language and culture.  This has made a significant impact during her 23-year career.  Now at a large healthcare university, she proudly provides socially sensitive care to the population of Camden.

Dr. Pluguez has been a speaker for LULAC, addressing Covid education and racial disparities as well as the NJ Student Nurses Association, Moravian University, and many other community partners. She has founded and serves as Co-Medical Director for Medicos Unidos Inc., a Non-profit that focuses on education, vaccination, and outreach to the underserved Latinx populations in Philadelphia and its surrounding areas. She is an active board member of National Association of Hispanic Nurses.  And her proudest accomplishment, a mother to wonderful children, and a loving wife.
